31st January 2000. Nicknamed "Dr Death" and considered Britain's most prolific killer, Family General Practitioner Dr Harold Frederick Shipman was jailed for life for murdering 15 of his patients, he was also suspected of killing more than 100 other patients under his care but did not confess to them.
